Continuing in Love

We wrap up and wind down another week.  Today is both national homemade soup day and wear red day.  I have given you a suggestion of what to wear and eat.  You are welcome.  More important, we turn to the fourth and final verse of the hymn, Love Divine, All Loves Excelling.

Sing and pray with me.

Finish, then, thy new creation;
true and spotless let us be.
Let us see thy great salvation
perfectly restored in thee.
Changed from glory into glory,
till in heav’n we take our place,
till we cast our crowns before thee,
lost in wonder, love and praise.

I love the invitation to be lost in wonder, which can mean being lost in curiosity.  Where is your curiosity right now?  Where is your interest nudging you?  I love the image of being lost in love as well as praise.  When was the last time you found yourself being lost in love and praise?  Has being lost ever led you to praise?  Or when was the last time you were lost and found God’s presence, affection, and affirmation?  I pray the exploration of this hymn will continue to repeated and replayed in life this week
