Yesterday, I invited you
to have a conversation with peace.
Today, I want to practice a peaceful breath prayer with you. Get comfortable. Feet flat on the floor. Jaw, shoulders, and body relaxed. I want you to breathe in and then let out a
loud sigh. Do that again. And again.
Let your sigh be even louder.
Now breathe in hope,
exhale the concerns you think you have to carry alone.
Breathe in peace, exhale
the problems you are trying to solve all alone.
Breathe in joy, exhale
the thought that everything has to be perfect.
Breathe in love, exhale
the barriers that block you or tell you not to reach out.
Be with peace. Listen to peace. Learn from what peace longs to share with you.
Let peace take up permanent residence within your soul and rearrange the
furniture of your life. Let peace begin
with you and let there be peace on earth.
